Here I am starting the New Year and a new blog and I’m sick! Ugh! I rarely get sick, but my little nose is alternating between running like an open faucet and being plugged. My throat is sore and I can barely speak. I pray to get over this by Sunday, because I am really excited about the Family Festival emphasis we have planned.
Speaking of not being at 100%, Cheryl continues to recover from her surgery in early December and is making good progress. She was back at church for the first time Sunday. We really appreciate those who have asked about her and prayed for her. Some of the pastors wives even brought over meals the first week she was out of the hospital. Yummy!

Join me each day as I share what's bouncing around in my head and heart. I wish I had time to sit down with each of you over a good cup of coffee, but at least we can thank God for blogs! Oh! I'll take the coffee, too, whenever I can!

Pastor, I think this is a wonderful idea! I don’t know anything about blogs, but it sure will be nice to read what is going on with you since many of us at the church do not have an opportunity to speak to you regularly. I just happened to stumble across this when I pulled up the website. Glad I did because I did not even know Mrs. Cheryl had surgery last month. I look forward to getting to know you better through your blog.
My nephews tell me I need to get into the 21st Century and get a MP3 Player, so you are many steps ahead of me getting a web log…

Jeff, I love the blog. I’m currently working on setting up my own blog. I must admit I am very much a novice and am struggling to find my way. Any advice you can give?

Brad, the first step is to have a wonderful IT team set you up. From that point on it’s pretty much paint by the numbers. I can say, though, that WordPress is a great way to go. If I can figure it out, anyone can! The IT staff set up the account, picked the template, etc. and told me they would get with me the next day to show me how it works. Within five minutes of looking at it I had put up my first post that same day before they had a chance to explain anything. It’s that simple. Really.
