The saga continues
In case you were wondering, I did make it Atlanta Sunday night, but our KCBT server was messed up Monday and I couldn’t post an update. I was on the last flight out of KCI Sunday, arriving in Atlanta a couple of hours too late to make my connection to Buenos Aires. Meanwhile, my able assistant, Emily Kinch, was busy changing my flight connections within Argentina, trying to contact CIMA organizers in Córdova to let them know I would be arriving a day late and helping me find a place to spend the night near the airport in Atlanta. NOT an easy task! Thanks, Emily!
Paul told the Romans that all things work together for good to those who love God, who are the called according to his purpose (8:28). That doesn’t mean that all things that happen are good, but only that God makes all things to work together for good. So, I began to seek how God would make something work together with an ice storm for good.
Do you remember Todd and Susan Peterson? They were part of KCBT when Todd played for the Chiefs. After his years with the Chiefs Todd was in Atlanta, Pittsburg and San Francisco. They now live in their home city of Atlanta. Todd is the one who connected us with The Seed Company and I had spoken with him on the phone Saturday, never dreaming I would arrive in Atlanta the next day. I thought I was going to Buenos Aires via Houston. Since my flight to Buenos Aires wouldn’t leave until the evening, I hopped on Atlanta’s great public transportation system, MARTA (are you listening KCMO leaders?), and rode from one end of Atlanta to the other where Todd picked my up. We spend the afternoon in his home catching up on all the great things God is doing.
