Back to Buenos Aires
It was beastly hot today, but the blessings continue. I am so impressed with what God is doing here among these young people. You might remember a few years ago when I shared my burden to help facilitate the identification, training and sending of 1,000 missionaries from Latin America to other languages and cultures. I am learning that tracking the results of what God does through our efforts in this mission is very difficult to do. I would be very surprised, though, if five to seven years from now there are not 100 missionaries somewhere in the world as the fruit of this conference. That would not be my fruit, but the collective fruit of many working together for the same objective. It’s never been about what I can do, but simply wanting to be a part of what God is doing in the world right now. One of the most rewarding parts of these past few years has been discovering that many others share the same vision and that together we can do more than any of us by ourselves.
I had two more participations today and felt both went well. I spoke to the young people about making disciples and to the pastors about the state of Christianity in Africa. I went directly from that session to the airport to catch a flight back to Buenos Aires. And, that is where I am right now. I’ll be meeting with key contacts here the next two days before heading home. The trip has been long, exhausting, frustrating at times, and yet very fruitful in many ways. Thanks for joining with me.
