Hi! This is my chance to chat with you about anything that pops into my mind. That means it is usually unedited and unpolished, just like conversations with friends ought to be. So, grab a cup of coffee or tea and let's talk!

Thanks, Glen! You are welcome here. Yes, Tina is an amazing person as well as highly-qualified at what she does. I'm sure she told you she put her document together to help a smaller church nearby and things just went from there. She has just finished an addition to her original article on doing a security assessment. This is actually adapted from her experience in courthouse security. She'd much rather be doing training in both law enforcement and the private sector, but it's been fun to see her involvement in church security and her generosity you speak of has enabled a few departments recently to do some good community PR by having her do some basic training in church security. Looked around your site and it is very comprehensive. Congratulations! I was impressed you already have some good information about the Wichita tragedy that just happened yesterday. Good work!

Hi Jeff,

I enjoyed your article. Having begun the Church Security Alliance a while back, I had contact with Tina early on. She has great insights and provide an article on using ushers as eyes and ears and the first line of defense in securing the worship center for our site. A very giving person. I am a fan too!

BTW, great looking blog and some interesting articles.

Christine, Thanks so much for the heads up. You must use IE. I discovered that there was some HTML code behind the scene of those two posts that IE did not like. I use Firefox that is a bit less picky about such things. SO, when I saw your comment I tired to pull it up in IE and discovered the same problem you saw. Well, that's no good since you are one of two people who comments provoked these posts! The offending code has been removed and you should see the blog looking back to normal. If not, let me know. Thanks again.

Jeff,

Ask the Expert and The Expert Answers are not viewable on my computer... is something wrong with the posting?

Thank you, Jeff, for your mention of my material on church security. I can tell that you have quite a readership, because I've gotten about forty requests already today! I don't mind--and I enjoy being able to tell people that even as a goofy looking kid in high school, you radiated the special quality that you still have. Thanks again! Tina
