Ahhh! What a nice day and relatively relaxing. For starters, I did not have to get up at the crack of dawn. I slept in until around 7:00am! Luis Alberto came by to take me to a late breakfast at his house. His wife Martina had a wonderful German breakfast prepared. German bread – one word – wow! There are over 200 officially recognized varieties of German bread. I don’t think I tried them all this morning, but I did the best I could.
After breakfast we took a wonderful walk in the Autumn woods. It was a beautiful day and the woods were spectacular. How nice.
This evening I had invited Luis Alberto, Martina, Sergio and Marisela Blazquez to dinner. They chose a Chinese restaurant right around the corner from my hotel. We talked, ate and laughed. It was a great time and made for a relaxed day in the middle of a heavy work load.
As I mentioned previously, my sole motive in stopping off in Frankfurt was to minister to Luis Alberto and his family. They have been through so many trials the past few years that it has been overwhelming. They have three sweet adolescent kids and are very concerned they not become bitter or discouraged because of their mom’s battle with cancer. I think that the time spent here has been somewhat of a blessing to them. I pray that it has. I really haven’t had any answers or words of wisdom, but sometimes it helps just to have someone listen to you.
In the morning I will catch the train at the airport (yes) and head toward Amsterdam. If all goes well, Donna and Reba should be on the same train having boarded several hours earlier in Munich.

Join me each day as I share what's bouncing around in my head and heart. I wish I had time to sit down with each of you over a good cup of coffee, but at least we can thank God for blogs! Oh! I'll take the coffee, too, whenever I can!
