Hi! This is my chance to chat with you about anything that pops into my mind. That means it is usually unedited and unpolished, just like conversations with friends ought to be. So, grab a cup of coffee or tea and let's talk!

Rodger, yes, I am very familiar with the Joshua Project and some of the people behind it. It is recognized as one of the better sources of information on what God is doing around the world among those who are engaged in God's global mission. In the latter half of the 20th century missiologists began to view the world through people groups rather than geo-political nations, a far more biblical concept. A personal friend and colleague who used to be pastor a church very close to me in San Salvador, Luis Bush, is the one who coined the phrase 10-40 Window and later went on the head what was called the AD2000 movement aimed to establish a viable witness among every people by the year 2000. Thought that did not happen, the mission was advanced significantly. The Joshua Project is an outgrowth designed to help coordinate information among those who are actively engaged in God's mission. There is much more to say, of course, but that is a brief overview.

Dr. Jeff,
I was looking at my news feed on Facebook today and one of my dear friends published a link that knocked my socks off. It was joshauproject.net. Are you familiar with this? Can you give any background info at all? We have known each other for over 20 years, but neither of us knew that we had this type of project in common. Coincidence?...I think not. Our God is an awesome God, indeed!
